Top 10 Books

I read a lot. However, I’m also a slow reader. Thanks dyslexia! So, before fully capturing the meaning of a book, I’ll have to read it twice and then a third time while taking notes. It’s exhausting. But, I’ve learned patience. And, as my sister is always apt to point out “Shawn, you didn’t pick up a book until you got into college.” That’s true. But, not totally true. I did read the Narnia books. Talk about transformative. I’m not sure how many hours I spent inside my closet pressing my back against the wall waiting to feel the touch of snow-dappled pine needles on my face.

Anyways, this is a living ordering of the ten books that doubled the size of my universe. As I read more, it will evolve. And, since I read slow, I live for book recommendations. There are too many books for this dyslexic-life-form-that-got-a-late-start to read in one lifetime. Indeed, many of the books below were recommended to me. So, if you have any please send them my way via email ( Thanks!
